'Hollywood Actor' Says His New Movie Will Hammer Political Correctness and Frustrate Atheist Activists

quote [ Cameron stars in the film which regrounds the Christmas tradition in its Biblical roots and is the first title in a new three-picture deal his CAMFAM Studios has struck with Sony Music Entertainment?s Nashville-based Provident Films. Saving Christmas also marks a re-teaming of Cameron and Samuel Goldwyn, which scored a $33 million hit with Christian audiences on his 2008 film Fireproof. ]

On the one hand, his audience will eat this up. On the other, the clips from it will no doubt be comedy fodder for years to come.

His previous "documentary," called Monumental, gave the Pilgrims the ol' right-wash treatment in 2012.

If you're an 'at will' employee in Texas, it's not fraud if your employer lies to you.

quote [ The Texas Supreme Court held, essentially, that fraudulent inducement is immaterial in at-will employment, because either way you're out the door. The employer could have gotten rid of you with or without the lie, so you can't claim fraud, because the deception was irrelevant. ]

It'd be nice if this actually made people re-think all the anti-union rhetoric they've been swallowing for decades, because this is Lex Luthor supervillain crap, here. DuPont told its employees their part of the company wouldn't be spun-off and the lot of them fired, which is now "honest," I guess.

FAA Restricts Airspace Over Ferguson, MO

quote [ The agency issued a Notice to Airmen that was restricting flights over the town near St. Louis, Mo. ?to provide a safe environment for law enforcement activities.?

The flight ban follows protest in Ferguson over the fatal shooting of an apparently unarmed black teenager, Michael Brown, 18, by a officer with the city?s police department. ]

I'm sure this is just one element in a flawless plan the police have to fix everything.

Also, the police decide it's too dangerous to release the name of the officer who shot Michael Brown.

We have an actual police state, and it's Connecticut.

quote [ So, police can be targeting the wrong person and sweep up anyone who happens to be in the vicinity and still be immune from the consequences. In essence, the court gives police the ability, if not the actual right, to detain anyone at anytime for no reason at all. How did the court manage to arrive at this bizarre rights-trampling ruling? Well, it had to do a whole lot of re-imagining of the actual events using the most paranoiac of police officers' mindsets. ]

I'm having a hard time envisioning what kind of person could come to this sort of conclusion, let alone be allowed to serve as a judge.

First came Conservapedia, now we're getting ReaganBook!

quote [ "We stand by what Ronald Reagan said, ?Government has no power except those voluntarily granted to it by we the people,'" the site reads. "The same holds true for your social media: don?t grant your social media any power to collect, sell, exploit, and divulge your private information." ]

I'm not sure how they plan to make money on it, but it looks to be at least as successful as the movie adaptation(s) of Atlas Shrugged. I'll be interested to see how their views on censorship change once the inevitable troll accounts show up.

U.S. Says Russia violated a testing treaty by firing cruise missile

quote [ Because the treaty proscribes testing ground-launched cruise missiles of medium-range, the Kremlin cannot undo the violation. But administration officials do not believe the cruise missile has been deployed and say there are measures the Russians can take to ameliorate the problem. ]

And the starter on Cold War II is given another crank.

From 'The Department of Not-Surprise' comes this discovery about Blackwater

quote [ Just weeks before Blackwater guards fatally shot 17 civilians at Baghdad?s Nisour Square in 2007, the State Department began investigating the security contractor?s operations in Iraq. But the inquiry was abandoned after Blackwater?s top manager there issued a threat: ?that he could kill? the government?s chief investigator and ?no one could or would do anything about it as we were in Iraq,? according to department reports. ]

I think this is causing barely a ripple because everyone pretty much suspected Blackwater of being a bunch of ruthless, murderous thugs paid billions by those for whom privatization of everything is the holy grail. When you finally have actual proof, it's not a huge surprise, and Erik Prince still walks free, hawking his book.

Politics are just so weird lately...

quote [ "The election for U.S. House for Oklahoma?s 3rd District will be contested by the Candidate, Timothy Ray Murray," Murray wrote in a press release posted on his campaign website. "I will be stating that his votes are switched with Rep. Lucas votes, because it is widely known Rep. Frank D. Lucas is no longer alive and has been displayed by a look alike." ]

I thought the whole "body double" thing was mostly for the "every shooting is a false flag" crowd, but it's apparently gone up a few rungs. Also, a Tea Party lawyer involved in the Mississippi nursing home photo scandal shot himself.

Colorado primary puts a real gem of a candidate on the ticket.

quote [ Last year, "Dr. Chaps" Gordon Klingenschmitt announced that he was running for a seat in Colorado's legislature and his long history as a disgraced former Navy Chaplain who brags about having successfully performed an exorcism on a lesbian soldier and who has stated again and again that demonic spirits are behind everything from abortion to gay marriage to ENDA to President Obama to Madonna won him the support of the vast majority of GOP caucus-goers earlier this year, setting up a primary showdown against another GOP hopeful which took place last night. ]

It's demons all the way down, people.
