When you edit a comment, the history is available by clicking the number that indicates how many time the comment has been edited.

OK, yeah, a post edit history would be great. It's always confusing to come into an edited post and all the comments are about something that's not even there anymore.

A completely different kind of comment history that I've always wanted is a "view all comments by this user" function.

I've considered that one as well. Jury is still out.

The way I see it, the collected wit and wisdom of the community is our greatest treasure, and what's the point of having treasures if you can't take them out and appreciate them now and then rather than just leaving them to molder forgotten in some dusty, disorganized vault?

Plus I want to dredge up old bullshit from the past to score cheap points in arguments, but mostly the treasure thing.

If you do do that, please consider a grace period for typo correction :)
