Yeah, he's certainly done impeachable things, but it seems like the most this will achieve is solidify and fire up his base going into election season.

I think that's underselling it. Trump had a trade "win" this week but the press has been all about impeachment. A lot of voters know about this and his dealings with Ukraine and polling is showing that, whether they support impeachment or not, like 60%+ think what he did was wrong. I'm surprised the dems have carried the narrative well enough but when Trump is bashing Fox News polls about being biased towards the dems because they show like fifty whatever percent support for removing him from office, that seems like more of a win than a loss. We'll see if it is translates into anything for 2020 but as of right now I'm pleasantly surprised with the results.

About the only interesting thing that comes out of it: Is that he's no longer able to issue pardons to himself and others which could get... interesting, once he leaves the office.
