Russian woman charged with spying for Moscow by 'infiltrating' NRA

quote [ Maria Butina, 29, met US politicians and candidates to establish ‘back channels’ and secretly reported to Kremlin, DoJ alleges

A Russian woman has been charged with spying for Moscow in the US by infiltrating the National Rifle Association (NRA) in an attempt to influence the Republican party and American politics.
...
Two unidentified Americans, one of them described as a “political operative”, were said in the charging documents to have assisted Butina in her efforts to make political contacts in the US. Neither was charged with a crime. ]

If we live through this shit, this is material for a good movie or mini-series.

But it’s not just the name calling, or the endless clips of Rachel Maddow as some kind of surrogate for original thought or political insight. It’s the sheer vapidity of his posts.
This one, from yesterday, is a literal cut and paste from Wikipedia. He didn’t even have the industry or wit to write a post of his own. He found some hackneyed quote of Lenin’s and pasted it, word for word, into the discussion. No thought, no effort and no attribution. Just plagiarized filler. And then he gets on his high horse about “substance”? He could be replaced by a chat bot without any discernable reduction in the quality of his posts.
