Russian woman charged with spying for Moscow by 'infiltrating' NRA

quote [ Maria Butina, 29, met US politicians and candidates to establish ‘back channels’ and secretly reported to Kremlin, DoJ alleges

A Russian woman has been charged with spying for Moscow in the US by infiltrating the National Rifle Association (NRA) in an attempt to influence the Republican party and American politics.
...
Two unidentified Americans, one of them described as a “political operative”, were said in the charging documents to have assisted Butina in her efforts to make political contacts in the US. Neither was charged with a crime. ]

If we live through this shit, this is material for a good movie or mini-series.

The ACA was not shitty. It has saved untold lives, it has allowed poor people to Dr.s some time for the first time in years out side an emergency room prolonging lives at the same time. It allowed people with preexisting conditions not to be handed a death sentence, it mandated insurance companies to put minimum amounts into their pockets and spend the rest on patient care.

It was despite the billions of dollar that the profit hungry spent trying to kill it was working!!!

Did it have some problems..yes, just like any other new major government program it needed to be adjusted...but every time some one tried they GOP tried to kill it, so it just stood as passed.

And to listen to rich people complain about rates going higher falls on deaf ears. The blocked Medicaid expansion, blocked mandates, and several other things designed to bring down cost. Not only that the gutted system that is left is still far better than what we had...and despite their efforts has slowed the increase of rates.

Tied of the propaganda the ACA was the best thing to happen to public health since medicare...
