quote [ 5. We’ll know more soon. ]
[edit:] Just because I missed this: The whole notion of the blog is some rationalist thing … whatever reasoning this adds to the text. The article is crossposted on LessWrong though with additional comments.

update from yesterday … more helpful argumentation, alas reading similar thoughts every 2 days gets a little boring.

@DrEricDing is one of the common twitter sources that I have followed since early days of the pandemic. Up until Covid, I'd never heard of him.
But as Alarmist myself, I find his Tweets perfect enough to keep my adrenaline going -- using just the facts and current trends available. |

I can't help but wonder about people who recommend away from lockdowns because of the impact they have without mentioning the reason that impact is so detrimental is because of how little our governments do for those in lockdowns. Those in charge have clearly decided that the cost of human lives in order to "get back to normal" is acceptable and the media quickly follows along. I can't remember the last time any news media in Florida even mentioned flattening the curve, instead giving plenty of airtime to Right Wing provocateurs normalizing anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers.

I'm sorry. There's too much socialism in this comment.

Must've been the only text about the whole thing I've fully read yet. This is from yesterday but the author answered to some comments today.
