This has been known for a while - rice in America is not great. And while the article is correct, the better title would be "American government doesn't regulate heavy metals in baby food." Of course the manufacturers are going to do the letter of the law and not the intent. If you want things better, change the law/regulations, easy peasy.

Reminds me of back when Gerber marketed baby food in African regions where few spoke English and the picture on the can was assumed to depict what was in it.
