I think that the black population of the USA has been accommodating beyond reason. If it were me in that situation, I'd have burned the country down a long time ago.

Another article that picks a niche subculture to project onto. "Oh, those *weirdos* over there have a Nazi problem" as a way to deflect from the far more uncomfortable idea that the entire society has a Nazi problem.

The tone of the article is, “even those relatively wholesome weirdos over there have a Nazi problem”. It goes on to say that society as a whole has a Nazi problem.

Very last line of the article:
“The fandom has to recognize that it doesn’t exist purely within the vacuum of an online fantasy,” Acesential said. “It exists in a world where these problems are still here.”

Its almost like they didn't read the article.
