ISIL genocide of the Sheitaat

quote [ As Islamic State militants advanced in the Syrian province of Deir al-Zor last month, those who had held out against them faced a simple choice: beg for mercy or face certain death... Hundreds of members of the Sheitaat clan have been executed after their tribe refused to submit to Islamic State... Islamic State has declared that no truce is possible with the Sheitaat, that its prisoners can be killed, and its women are unfit for marriage, according to the Observatory. ]

In other news, these scumbags capture a whole air base.

Thumb is not from current slaughter, it's old.

Egyptian feminists bleed, defecate on ISIL flag.

It's as NSFW as it sounds.

Also, Fonzi of freedom warning.

I have a recovering Libertarian friend who reminds me a LOT of Nick Gillespie, there.

Hairstyle from the 70's? Check. Leather jacket from the 50's? Check.

There must have been something about that age that programmed a whole generation to absorb Ayn Rand like the janitor's sawdust absorbs vomit.

Thankfully, the passion for art deco seems to have faded.

That's the best analog/metaphor for libertarianism I've ever read.

Meaning Dumbledorito's comment of course. Although the cover is nice too.

The freak cockroaches of ISIS are holding an American aid worker for ransom and threaten to execute her if the demands are not met. To me, it's irrelevant that she's American. What matters is that she traveled and sacrificed to help her fellow humans and these creatures, I would not even call them animals because it would be unfair to most animals, want to destroy her. You can't get lower than that.

PS: I just chose from several citations. I didn't check to see if rt.com is like foxnews. I never heard of it before. The story is all over including local radio talk shows.

rt is basically the Fox News of Russia- a total Putin mouthpiece.

I'm guilty of this often as well, but when you dehumanize people, however scummy, as "cockroaches", you're actually letting them off easy. However much we want to think that a given monstrous behavior (video beheadings, walking in the street with stolen cigars) isn't something that civilized people do, we're only a few meals from cannibalism or any other taboo you'd care to name.

RT: Russia Today. I'm not sure I would put it with Fox, but definitely AL Jazeera. Sometimes there is useful coverage that the American networks won't cover, but there is an awful lot of leftist dogma (and I'm a liberal socialist Canadian).

Oh yes it is like fox, worse actually. Fox can stand behind ideology with a few well placed "mistakes", RT blatantly lies and spreads propaganda.

That link on the airbase raised two questions for me:
1) how do they capitalize on oil sales? You can determine the source of petroleum same as uranium or conflict minerals, so who is buying this stuff? Why aren't sales blocked? Are they refining it?
2) Iran is playing with fire. I can't believe they would be that dumb.
