quote [ The UK has lost almost all its native wildlife, especially its forests and big animals. Rewilding would bring back everything from beavers to bears ]

The US and Britain have traded invasive species (they gave the US the Starling, I believe) and I went to Wikipedia to see exactly what's been sent where. Sadly, they only list "Europe" as opposed to specific countries on their invasive species lists, but I found this one amusing:

Free Ranged House Cats From Everywhere (in Everywhere)

Free Ranged House Cats are apparently a invasive constant and have always been in every place.

Yeah, pretty much. Basically, unless you live in ancient Egypt, your cat doesn't belong outside.

By trying to unfuck the environment, I am pretty sure we are still fucking with the environment.

Oh, and as much as we'd like to deny it, humans ARE a part of the ecosystem, albeit a disruptive part.

Has anyone denied humans are a part of the ecosystem?

Did they get the idea from Warren Ellis? He had wild lions being re-introduced to England in Transmet.
