I dunno, there has been lots of talk about how ready for violence the gun owners are in america but when it comes down to it, the punks really have had their number since the 80s.

There will be no uprising because america is imprisoned by their mortgages and debts. You can't really get angry enough for more than a January 6th when you got bills to pay and mouths to feed.

Throughout history, the real changes, i.e. violence, have happened when the workers couldn't afford bread.

The only potential for preventing him from running is states removing him from the ballot under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. There is nothing in the Constitution that prevents a convicted felon, or even someone who is still in prison, from running.

Even if any/all of the current criminal indictments were to be taken to trial and a conviction secured resulting in prison time, he can run.

Even if the GOP somehow pulls their collective heads out of their asses and somehow disqualify him on party grounds, he would still have his legion of myrmidons that would vote for him as an independent or write-in.

Even if he has rapid onset dementia and is even more of a drooling idiot come November, it wouldn't disqualify him and his followers would still vote for him.

Short of him dying, and I still think he would get a lot of votes, he is very much a real threat and we should all expect him on the ballots in November.
