VASSAL

SO MANY GAMES. I figured we could play The Fury of Dracula, but apparently there's no support for that just yet. Maybe I'll create a module, but probably not. Anyway.

Cool, they have one for Eclipse, which is a game I've enjoyed but found dealing with all the boards and tokens and tiles and things to be kind of frustrating. But that's true for like half the games I really like. Dunno when I'll get a chance to try this out, but definitely bookmarking it for then.

I feel like at some point we'll have a table sized touchscreen and tablets for each player, networked together to run board games, with the software enforcing game rules.

Was Dracula particularly furious? I guess so, sometimes, but so is everybody, and it doesn't seem to define his personality. And speaking of which, I don't remember King Arthur being particularly obsessed with gold.

Mage Knight, hells yes. That is like my favorite board game ever, but it takes so long to play I can never convince people to play. Maybe short, consecutive games online might work better.

I would love to get into board games, but I don't have anyone to play with. This holds promise.

As an user of a few modules (my favorite is Carcassonne Hunters and Gatherers,) I can say this is a great way to play games you already know.

But some of the modules can be buggy, like 'Star Trek: Catan'
When we last tried playing it about 1 or 2 months ago, the 'stations' we played would disappear under the board's tiles, making it impossible to play.

A good alternative is www.yucata.de

All in all, both Vassal and yucata.de are well worth it.
