Yeah, I was a little unsure about the policy/mood here about getting around ads and paywalls, so I just linked to a Reddit comment that posted the text (which noted the irony of sourcing Reddit).

I assume(???) you're being ironic, but just to be clear: Cops in Hickory, NC, and Bristol, TN, et al., do not give tickets to this particular type of dicks.

I live in Texas, cops here live for the easy money. Roll Coal here in El Paso and get caught. We literally have streets with no cruising signs and the cops to back that up. I don't know if you have experienced this but I've seen State Troopers pull over people inside the city limit in residential areas for traffic infractions. You do stupid things here with cars you will eventually get caught. All the quick chargers in this town are on the universities, tourist points, airport, and high end business. You are not going to be pulling this shit in this town.
