The "American Police System" isn't some giant amorphous beast. It's thousands of individual departments, hundreds of thousands of people, and a complex number of court decisions, precedents, local customs, and who knows what else. All in all, it's one of the more honest and least corrupt in the world. With so much going on, and dealing with vicious perps much of the time, sometimes something goes wrong or some crazy or incompetent cop murders someone. Almost always, this is dealt with by the justice system. More and more cops have cameras and surveillance cameras are now almost ubiquitous anyway.
This has nothing to do with the video or with anyone who would watch ten hours of TV in a row and then sit staring at the rain. I'd worry about such a person. Merry Xmas all.
