These students figured out their tests were graded by AI — and the easy way to cheat

quote [ They often copy the text of their questions and paste it into the answer field, assuming it’s likely to contain the relevant keywords. One told me they used the trick all throughout last semester and received full credit “pretty much every time.” ]

Ha! Hehe – huh. So much for so-called algorithms.

This is also useful for resumes. At the bottom of my resume, I have small text, white, buzzwords. Been doing it for a few years to bypass shitty HR technology.

Most places I know auto-transcribe resumes into plaintext, so that would all show up.

I'm reminded piece an article about the AP test essays, where a guy demonstrated he could accurately grade them from 20 feet away because the #1 predictor of the given grade was just essay length.

AI scanning for key words literally defeats the purpose of teaching.

The purpose of teaching just to administer the complex and expensive initiation rites everyone needs to go through before they're allowed to get a decent job. Prove me wrong.

I'll take it a step further. The purpose of education is place a financial barrier in front of decent jobs, thus making sure the poors can't rise above their station.

Even calling this "AI" probably gives it too much credit
