Diesel Brothers Hit With $850,000 Fine for Tampering With Truck Emissions

quote [ TThe stars of Discovery Channel's Diesel Brothers television show are being ordered to pay $851,451 for their role in producing and selling modified diesel pickups that wreaked environmental havoc in the state of Utah. ]

Why does the Discovery Channel still exist?!?

I'd never heard of this show until now. I'm surprised The Discovery Channel made a show about them since their business was illegal.

So now these guys have to pay a huge fine and stop modifying trucks to be more polluting. Since that's their whole business, they're sunk. I'm ok with that since their business was illegal to begin with.

Not the first time discovery has hosted a TV show full of criminals, maybe not overly like these morons but the hosts did end up doing shady shit that got em dropped in prison.

I saw one episode and said out load "how are they getting away with that? Are they exempt under a kit build? That doesn't seem right." Turns out it they didn't.

I really thought they turned it around with the Science Channel. They had good shows. After Mythbusters ended, everything else also ended and now itโ€™s reruns and shows with the key question being: โ€œis it aliens?โ€

Cable "science" channels cater solely to dumb people who want to pretend they're smart but who aren't quite smart enough for pseudo-smart dumb people internet shit like IFL Science.

I mean, even their good shows were already dumbed down to begin with. But they were still informative compared to Mysteries of the Abandoned, What on Earth?, Titanic: Conspiracy of Failure, Curse of the Bermuda Triangle, Egypt's Unexplained Files, NASA's Unexplained Files, Aliens: The Definitive Guide, and Alien Encounters.

The only semi-decent thing they have on their line up right now are Deadly Engineering, How It Works (reruns and motorcycle version), and How the Universe Works?
