As someone who is trans, getting to watch all the hypocritical assholes freak out on twitter has been the best advertising possible for this thing.

This seems a little dubious and a last ditch effort by the meat industry.
I have heard that the amount of salt in these is pretty bad though.

They WILL make you grow tits though; the trouble with these new meatless burgers is that they are full of salt, sugars, and oils. They may be meatless, unfortunately, they are nowhere near healthful.

Then again, neither is meat. The solution is making your own patties with ingredients that you can trust. Sadly though, the list of ingredients is getting smaller and smaller as big farm industries lower standards and poison the food supply.

I'm honestly worried exactly how to feed myself safely in 2020.

I mean this entirely unironically and without meaning to insult or threaten, but you could move to Europe. The food standards there are much better.

I do wonder about other countries, however I'm not ready to move to one just yet.

They said the same about Soy and Tofu, I think that's even why "soyboy" is a favoured insult of the right-wing.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

There's no evidence it's safe to eat a lot of highly processed soy and who knows what else. There's also absolutely no reason to; beef is cheaper, tastes better, and is almost certainly healthier.

There's not even an environmental argument for it. If you tell people they have to eat gruel and live in caves to save the planet, you won't get any cooperation.
