I can't dig up the forum post from around when this came out by someone in the field, but apparently there are some big methodology issues with this study based on how they dated the soil and resuscitated the nematodes. Those things are tiny and easily contaminate samples and they can't prove they didn't come from an outside source.

When the reporter went to the lab all he found were the strangled bodies of the researchers and the graves of some of the worms the rest were gone. One researcher and a dog were inexplicably missing.
