$190 million. I'm sure Jesus would be proud. Can't forget that 0th commandment, "thou shalt take time off from gay conversion therapy to spend obscene amounts on a vanity project instead of helping people in need."

The Holy Land in Orlando has one day a year when parking and admission are free. Every year I get this morbid curiosity about the place and want to go people watch, and every year when the day comes I realize I am not curious enough to put on pants and drive for an hour.

A few weeks ago my religious parents cajoled me into going with them to the Museum of the Bible in Washington, DC. I was honestly surprised at it's quality. Of the 5ish floors, 2 were art galleries, and 1 was a collection of Bibles presented in a purely historical context.
The cheesiest part was the floor with a walking multimedia tour through the stories of the Bible. Still, no one tried to convert me while I was there, which is more than I can say just walking down the street on any given day. |
