Quit treating us like we are stupid - incarcerating non violent drug crimes is big money, and not just for the private prison corporations. There are city and state revenues (court fees, fines, etc) that depend on it, and we all know Biden is all about protecting cash flow for those at the top even if it destroys lives at the bottom.

Almost all of us can vote. Most of us will not serve as a juror for a marijuana trial.

Here's the thing about Biden and big money:
Cannabis is now big money. Big Pharma, Big Tobacco, and even Big Alcohol are now invested in cannabis growth, and hemp production is rising dramatically, including in clothing, which means Big Retail. That right there is a whole shit-ton of lobbying power, far more than the Prison Profit Lobby. I think this is more a case of "Old Man Shouts at Cloud" than "Old Man Takes Money for a Political Stance". And you cannot, in any seriousness, compare the Old Man Gibberish that comes out of Biden to the pure unadulterated insanity that constantly streams from Trump's Twitter feed.... or from his interviews.... or his speeches...... or his press releases.... etc. The man literally admitted to an article of impeachment on live television and then, just the other day, committed another article of impeachment- intimidating/threatening a witness- IN REAL TIME as the witness was testifying. You can't beat that sort of batshit, especially not with the old school, pre-internet senility Biden brings to the table. |
