Really interesting article. I wonder why in the concluding words they don't bring up a relatively obvious thought; that we should be out looking for the next transportation revolution. Whether that's something like hyperloop, or self-driving cars (that can optimize for actual traffic conditions) or something we haven't even thought of yet.

I am watching carefully the prospect of self-driving cars being able to de-couple destination from parking. It could change everything.
