Harris’s List: The 18th Century Guide Book to London’s Prostitutes

quote [ For nearly four decades, from 1757 to 1795, an anonymous publisher in Covent Garden printed and published a small pocketbook-sized annual directory of prostitutes working in Georgian London. The crudely printed little booklet, which originally cost two shillings and sixpence each, carried a description of each lady, including her appearance, her personality, her sexual specialties and the price she charged. ]

Only one way to find out. I've gotten a copy from the internet and I'm off to Covent Garden. I'm interested in meeting this "Guttenberg" chick the text refers to, and experience this "project" of hers.

You don't think I have a chance of getting a Cross Stroke for my Ball Terminals and Crotch?

Look, it's Gutenberg's fault that we don't have cool letters like pilcrow or thorn on a standard keyboard. Bloody German efficiency.
