Bah, Its The Mouse- $400 million is pocket change at this point.
The Avengers is coasting towards the 2 billion revenue mark, The Star Wars parks open at the end of the month and in August, and the streaming channel is closing in, which alone should basically cover the loss in about a month. The Mouse no longer operates on "human-level" methods of accounting; the money involved is no longer fathomable to the human intellect. |

When taking profits as compensation, always gross, never net. 3% gross will be a ton more than any amount net (since the net is, as you say, usually $0 or worse). The other big one is to get a percentage of merch and licensing, since that is where the most money resides in any property that sells toys, apparel, or services based on the movie.

Somehow I find it funny that the "Wholesome values Mouse" is investing in Vice.
