About the only time I have consistent free time anymore is in the shower and while eating breakfast, so I've been using podcasts to try and pack in as much info as I can. Haven't checked this one out yet, but I'm putting it on my list. Thought others might be interested. Did recently listen to a really good related Citation's Needed ep though: Citations Needed Episode 60: Saving Kittens, Lip Syncing and Christmas Traffic Stops: Your Guide to Clickbait…

There are two episodes of Cops that I would love love love to see again but I can not find them.
The first has a little weird dude who lures his wife out of her sister's house with offers of shrimp and cigarettes. The second has a drunk but charming man named Mike Smith with a refrigerator stuffed with rotting sandwiches in Styrofoam boxes. |

Been a couple years since I listened to it, but IIRC there wasn't a definitive answer. There was suspicion that he was being held hostage by his longtime maid, which Richard denied, and an unsubstantiated rumor that never manifested that he was secluding himself while transitioning to becoming a woman. He concluded simply that after years of being in the limelight Richard just wanted to be left alone.
Guy had an interesting life. Growing up Catholic in New Orleans with an overbearing mother. Becoming a multi-millionaire, overnight sensation with his videos in the 80s. He never got an ego about it. This woman he helped lose weight back in his early days, he would call her up years later just to chat and see how she was. A really stand-up human being. |
