I'm reminded of Ex Machina and similar stories: there are areas of research where the initial steps are okay, and the final product may be okay, but the intermediate process is high-octane nightmare fuel.

That ends up really bad in fiction all the time. Don't think its a good idea anyway. Nope, never mind. It is great. I just figured that losing your beloved ones and getting them back is great, albeit egoistic. And perhaps fucked up. Damn, I am so divided about this.
