Business Insider sucks, but they know a growth industry when they see one. Seems pretty clear this is only going to get worse until someone starts taking drastic measures (I'd like to be able to blacklist anything from Russia or China, for a start, but one of my favorite bands is from Rostov-on-Don, so...).

I also have the impression that something is off about BI, but I can't put my finger on it. Are they shilling for someone in particular?

I thought they were owned by Yahoo for some reason, but that seems not to be the case. Instead it turns out that they're basically an internet startup founded by three people, two guys from DoubleClick and Henry Blodget (the current CEO and Editor-in-Chief), a Wall Street trader who was "banned for life from the securities industry because of his violations of securities laws", per Wikipedia. So not the most credible source.
